January 1, 2018
Hey y'all! Sorry I ended up taking a much longer than expected hiatus from posting (pretty much the entire month of December, oops!). Between getting engaged, wedding planning, traveling, and Ian being home, it's been a crazy end of the year. I know I can't be the only one who's ready for a little bit of downtime and some time to get started on my New Year's resolutions! I actually meant to put this post up yesterday, but like I said, it's been crazy.
Can you all believe it's actually 2018? I know I can't! 2017 was a great year for me honestly. I got my first professional job, graduated from college, Ian began his firstie year at West Point, and we got engaged! Just to name a few. The end of the year was full of trips to Nashville and New York, and lots of wedding planning. By the way, let me know if you all want to see some posts on wedding planning in 2018, I've had an absolute blast planning everything so far. As great as 2017 turned out, I am so excited for everything that 2018 holds. Ian's graduating from college and commissioning as a 2nd LT., we're getting married in a few short months, we're taking a trip to Europe, and we're going to finally begin our life together in Fort Rucker, AL. I know this year is going to hold a period of uncertainty for me career wise as we move to Alabama, but I'm more than ready for that period since it also means I'll finally be Mrs. Greer.
Since I actually stuck with my New Year's Resolution last year I decided to go ahead and post my New Year's Resolutions this year and maybe that will hold me accountable, haha.
- Continue with my health and fitness goals--work out or train for a race at least 5 times a week
- Continue to update my blog regularly and journal-work on posting here on a more regular schedule, if any one has any ideas on that, let me know, as well as journaling more often.
- Take at least an hour every night to unplug from the internet and social media and focus on reading, journaling, etc.
Hope y'all can help keep me accountable with these goals, and to kick off the New Year, here's the event I'm looking the most forward to in 2018, our wedding!! Thanks to Melanie Fritz for the awesome photos, I'm looking forward to doing a whole post on our engagement sessions (yes, you read the s on the end right) later this month!
